Full start of operation of the ECO balance group, which was scheduled from 1 January 2017, was postponed by Government regulation that changed Law on renewable energy and high-efficiency cogeneration (Official Gazette, No. 100/2015, No. 123/2016 and No. 131/2017) in a way that the start of ECO balance group is postponed until 1st January 2019., when HROTE is obligated to sell electricity from ECO balance group on electricity market. That means end of obligation for electricity suppliers to take over electricity fed into grid, which HROTE purchased from eligible producers. Sales of electricity will be implemented in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner in accordance with the Rules for the sale of ECO balance group electricity that HROTE enacts with prior opinion of the Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency and the prior approval of the Ministry of Ministry of Environment and Energy.

We would like to inform all interested market participants about the change in the  Terms for yearly auction for the sale of electricity from ECO balance group in 2022 (Terms for yearly Auction).
The published Terms for yearly auction amend the form of the contract for the sale of electricity from the ECO balance group by adding Article 14, paragraph 3, which harmonizes the provisions of the contract for the sale of electricity from the ECO balance group with the provisions of the Civil Law Convention on Corruption of the Council of Europe.

QUARTERLY Auction for Q1 2021 will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 through the Croatian Power Exchange d.o.o. (CROPEX) trading platform starting at 9am and will last until 11am for the sale of 20 MWh/h (baseload).
